About the CCTG Annual Spring Meeting

The Canadian Cancer Trials Group Annual Spring Meeting of Participants represents a major gathering of the Canadian oncology community where trials that cover the spectrum of cancer treatment are designed and reviewed. Traditionally, the meeting includes discussions of trials that are in development, under conduct or have results to be shared.

If you are eligible to attend the Spring Meeting (please read the Registration Policy to determine eligibility), you can register on-site at our Registration Desk at the Chelsea Hotel.

The CCTG Special Workshops on Thursday, May 2nd are being held in conjunction with Spring Meeting and are CLOSED and by invitation ONLY.

Online registration for Special Thursday Workshops is now CLOSED.

If you were invited to attend any of the Special Thursday Workshops, you can register on-site at our Registration Desk at the Chelsea Hotel.

 CME Information



The deadline to claim credits is May 31, 2024. After this date, you can still retrieve your CME Certificate through the CME program.

How to claim credits and get your CME certificate
Credits for Royal College Specialists- This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by Queen's University Office of CPD. You may claim a maximum of 26 hours (credits are automatically calculated).

Credits for Health Professionals:
This is an accredited learning activity which provides up to 26 hours of Continuing Education.

Credits for Others:
This is a professional development learning activity which provides up to 16.5 hours of Continuing Education.

Participants who wish to claim credits must use our CME evaluation and credit claiming system. You will be asked to evaluate and indicate the number of hours attended at the accredited session(s) and answer some general questions. Upon completion, you will be able to print your certificate. This certificate will be accepted by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

2024 Annual Spring Meeting of Participants Overall Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify and address, through clinical trial and translational research, the disease burden associated with solid tumours and haematologic malignancies in Canada.
  2. Identify clinical trial research opportunities within the Canadian Cancer Trials Group.
  3. Integrate current knowledge regarding therapeutics and tumour biology in trial concept development and conduct.
  4. Apply best practices in clinical trials conduct and analysis to the Canadian Cancer Trials Group research agenda.
  5. To identify opportunities for mentoring new investigators in Canadian Cancer Trials Group research agenda.
  6. To synthesize, disseminate, exchange and apply knowledge derived from clinical trials to improve the health of Canadians.

The Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG) Annual Spring Meeting is an opportunity for investigators, nurses, pharmacists, clinical research associates, patient representatives, pharmaceutical company representative and others from around the country to come together to discuss the progress of CCTG clinical trials. The meeting is considered a major scientific event by Canadian clinical cancer researchers.
