Presenter | Gail Eckhardt, MD, FASCO Dr. Eckhardt is a Professor and Associate Dean of Experimental Therapeutics, the Albert and Margaret Alkek Foundation Endowed Chair at the Baylor College of Medicine, Associate Director of Translational Research and the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center, CPRIT Scholar.Dr. Eckhardt has a long history of mentoring clinicians and scientists in patient-oriented research and has mentored over 45 trainees; in 2022 she received ASCO’s Women Who Conquer Cancer Mentorship Award. Dr. Eckhardt was faculty at the NCI/AACR/ASCO’s Methods in Clinical Cancer Research for over 15 years and a mentor in ASCO’s Leadership Development Program for 3 years.“Leadership training is an often-overlooked area that is critical for clinical investigators seeking to enhance the impact of their research locally and globally.
