Wednesday, April 03, 2024 CCTG is excited to extend our congratulations to Dr. Lillian Siu who was recently announced as the 2024 ASCO David Karnofsky Memorial Award winner. The award and lecture are presented during the upcoming ASCO Annual Meeting in honor of outstanding contributions to the research, in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.Dr Siu is the past Chair of the CCTG Head and Neck disease site committee, a senior medical oncologist, director of the Phase I Clinical Trials Program, co-director of the Bras and Family Drug Development Program, clinical lead for the Tumor Immunotherapy Program, and holds the BMO Chair in Precision Genomics at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and is a professor of medicine at the University of Toronto, Canada. Dr. Siu’s major research focus is new anticancer drug development, particularly with respect to phase I trials and head and neck malignancies.
