We are seeking an outstanding and visionary cancer trialist for the position of Senior Investigator (SI) with CCTG. Interest/expertise in the areas of investigational experimental cancer therapeutics, translational laboratory research focused on clinical evaluation of treatment biomarkers, patient focused research in the areas of symptom science or health equity, or data science/artificial intelligence is of interest. Expertise in cancer clinical trial methods and conduct is required. As a CCTG Senior Investigators you will be co-principal investigator of individual trials, and leader within the CCTG program and the CCTG scientific committees developing and leading trials and related research. Exceptional candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor may be considered for a tenure-track position. Appointments will be within the Faculty of Health Sciences, within the relevant department(s). This position is made possible by a transformative $30M investment by Bruce Mitchell (Sc’68, DSc'20) and will enhance the Institute’s dynamic and collaborative research culture by fostering research linkages internally across disciplines and externally among partners. To advance the Chair’s success, the successful candidate will receive direct research support for the first 5 years of their tenure from the Bruce Mitchell Research Program, including resources to support the recruitment of multiple postdoctoral researchers/students. Decreased teaching and administrative responsibilities will be associated with this position to enable the candidate to develop a world-class research program.
