Rolling out on October 19, 2018. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 It is anticipated that RIPPLE (Roster Interface Program and Participants List Environment) version 3.0 will be rolled out on October 19, 2018. The main updates to the RIPPLE system include: In order to be “active” on a trial Participants List (PL), a member must have a Participant Signature Form (PSF) uploaded in their member account in RIPPLE.A PSF has always been a requirement since RIPPLE was implemented in 2014 however previously it was not being enforced as a credentialing requirement to become active on a trial.A PSF is a one-time only form (unless there is a name change) and does not need to be uploaded with each individual trial assignment. If a PSF is not in the member account, the credentialing requirements will not be met to add that member to a trial PL. Sites will need to “attest” that they have appropriate local SOPs for using a Participant List Delegate (PLD) if one is being assigned (and approved by the Qualified Investigator (QI)). A PLD will now need to “accept” this role assignment prior to becoming active A “pending” QI and PLD will see the “Approval” toolbar for additions and removals (with # outstanding) for trials where they have been added and meet the credentialing requirements for but are not yet approved/activated Additional information appears on trial PL screen – for example whether the trial has a Clinical Trials Application (CTA) with Health Canada or if it is a NCTN (National Clinical Trials Network) trial Timestamp appears for applicable date/time fields (for example Qualified Investigator (QI) approval dates) An updated RIPPLE User Guide will be posted within RIPPLE with details of the changes in this version of RIPPLE. A memo will be sent out on the date of implementation of RIPPLE 3.0. See previous Connection article about RIPPLE changes >
