About Dr Lillian Siu

Dr. Siu is a senior medical oncologist at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Director of the Phase I Program, Co-Director of the Bras and Family Drug Development Program and Clinical Lead for the Tumour Immunotherapy Program. She is Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and holds the BMO Chair in Precision Genomics.

Dr. Siu’s major research focus is in the area of new anticancer drug development, particularly with respect to phase I trials and head and neck malignancies. Internationally, Dr. Siu was the recipient of the 2010 US NCI Michaele C. Christian Award in Oncology Drug Development and was awarded the TAT 2020 Honorary Award for contributions in the development of anticancer drugs.

This lectureship was established by a donation from GlaxoSmithKline in memory of  Maria Ricci who was the GSK Scientific Development Manager in oncology when her life ended tragically while traveling on GSK-related business
