NCTN MFA requirements for CTSU access

Timeline and process update
NCTN MFA requirements for CTSU access

CCTG has been working closely with our NCI/CTSU counterparts to develop the process and workflow for investigator and research staff registrations. Here is what is understood as we move toward implementation:

1. All individuals that are registered at the time of the changeover will be grandfathered.

  • CCTG aims to provide verification of all CCTG members that have already been registered with NCTN through central review.
  • Current registered members will need to select and use their preferred MFA method.

2.  After implementation of step 1 above, the sites will designate a verified individual who has gone through verification previously who will be responsible fir verifying and attesting the identity of the individuals requiring new accounts.

  • One or more persons may have this role at sites (recommend two or more persons for coverage purpose).
  • An alternative process (TBD) will be developed If no individual is able to assume this role at the site.
  • No site related actions are required at this time however, we will shortly be requesting sites to identify individuals that would be responsible verification of new investigator and research staff registrations.

These steps are specific to CCTG members and information for members of other NCTN groups will be communicated separately. We are currently working on the specific processes and workflows with a target implementation date of June 2024.
