Wednesday, September 11, 2024 It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our highly respected patient representative David McMullen. He has been a CCTG patient representative since 2015 and an outstanding patient advocate with numerous organizations, including Myeloma Canada and the Canadian Myeloma Research Group.(John) David McMullen passionately believed in the importance of patient engagement for clinical trials, to ensure that the outcomes important to patients are considered. He devoted his time to spreading awareness and education of myeloma, advocating for patient representation and visibility, supporting others impacted by myeloma.He had a deep compassion to help others and received many awards for his extraordinary accomplishments and volunteerism. He was very proud to have been awarded the Canadian Cancer Research Alliance Award for Exceptional Leadership in Patient Involvement in Cancer Research in November 2023.He will be remembered for his tireless commitment to those effect by cancer, his voice and friendship will be missed by everyone at CCTG.John David McMullen Obituary
