Wednesday, November 13, 2024 The recently opened HN13 clinical trial will study a new technique in radiotherapy delivery called stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) to treat patients with head and neck cancer who are unable to tolerate the usual dose of radiotherapy SBRT uses specialized techniques to deliver higher than usual doses of radiation focused on the area where the cancer is present. This may be better than standard dose radiation therapy at controlling tumours without damaging surrounding normal tissue.
