Dr. Michael McKenzie, MD

CCTG Supportive Care Committee Co-Chair

Dr. Michael McKenzie Vice President Quality for BC Cancer and a radiation oncologist with extensive experience in genitourinary oncology, neurooncology and palliative oncology. In addition, he is a Clinical Professor in the Division of Radiation Oncology and Developmental Radiotherapeutics at University of British Columbia. Dr. McKenzie works with patients with genitourinary cancers and brain tumours.

Dr. McKenzie is the Co-Chair of the CCTG Supportive Care Committee and has been Principal Investigator for numerous studies of symptom management and other aspects of palliative oncology.

important practice-changing clinical trials and I am excited to help to lead an interprofessional team from across Canada
to conduct more trials that focus on the improvement of symptoms, as well as patient experience and quality of life.”
