Patient Representative: Richard Wassersug, PhD

Supporting the CCTG Genito-Urinary Committee

Residing in Vancouver, BC | CCTG Patient Representative since 2015

Richard was diagnosed with prostate cancer over 20 years ago and has had surgery, radiation, and hormone therapy to control his disease. As a scientist, he found the side effects of the drugs so interesting that he began studying them. This has led to a variety of academic papers on the impact of cancer treatments on the quality of life of patients as well as personal essays on survivorship, advocacy, and patient engagement in cancer research.
